I watched a new anime
So I watched a new anime yesterday, finished it this morning. The anime was called La Corda D’oro - Primo Passo, and it honestly moved me to tears almost every episode. Watching the main character go through the series reminded me of my love for bboying. I mean she was passionate about music but her feelings towards doing something she loved were the same as how i feel. The only real difference between me and her is that she could honestly express herself through music despite she not being technically good, to express oneself truthfully is very hard to do (I think Bruce Lee said that lol).
But the real idea behind the anime like i said was passion. I believe if you do something you love than you should try to express yourself fully and dedicate yourself to it. This doesn’t mean devote all your time to it. Through the time I’ve spent with my crew, I think our friendships have grown over the years. The breaking, the laughs the food. And although we do break together and we do a lot of it, I’m happy to have met such wonderful people through bboying and I don’t think I would’ve met them otherwise.
Which brings me to something I remembered. Over the years I’ve noticed that a lot of kids of a specific started picking up a guitar after this one dude that was the same race did it. The original dude got famous I think and of course people thought they could do it to. I respect the original dude’s love for music despite my lack of interest for his type of music, but nonetheless, I respect his passion for the guitar. What I don’t like is not that everyone started doing it as well, but that they pick up an instrument for the wrong reasons. I’m not saying all but I bet lots of them, the first reason for picking up a guitar was not because they wanted to learn it for self satisfaction and love of the instrument, but to impress others; quite possibly the opposite sex because of the type of music genre they all copied. I turn away in disgust to those that are like that because you are truly not passionate or in love with what you do. People like that, though it may be rude, but I’d wish that they quit immediately and find something they really love to do.
So this is for anyone that loves music, dance or anything uplifting their lives. Let your passion uplift you to new levels and introduce you to great human beings.
